In Between Heaven and Earth is a publication that strives to give displaced stories a home amongst its pages. Through an in-depth interview, it unpacks the multilayered and often complicated meanings of the word “home”, particularly for those who have left their place of origin. This edition in particular shares the heartfelt story of my mother, a Vietnamese refugee and immigrant, and how her relationship with “home” has transformed as she escaped war, travelled across the seas, and eventually settled in Canada.
