Rei Kawakubo's fashion design and the Japanese aesthetic of Wabi-Sabi share deep connections, primarily through their embrace of imperfection, transience, and non-conformity to traditional beauty standards. Featured is a collection of readings by Leonard Karen, James & Sandra Crowley, and Sōetsu Yang intended to highlight these similarities.
