The goal of this project was to design three communicative posters (abstract, symbolic, and representational) that exemplify either an existing event or an original concept. After selecting a favorite poster, we would then develop a cohesive brand identity, incorporating elements such as name tags, additional posters, and brochures. For my project, I chose the Toronto Caribbean Carnival. My design approach focused on capturing the spirit of the festival through sound waves, musical notes, feathers, and vibrant colors, making sure that the energy and essence of Carnival were reflected appropriately.
